VILLAGE BOARD MEETINGS RESCHEDULED

The Village of Champlain regular Board Meetings scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month for March, April, and May, have been changed back to the original schedule, which is the second Monday of the month.  The meetings are open to the public.

WORKSHOP

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Champlain, 1104 Rt. 9 (Main St.), Champlain, New York, will hold workshops for the purpose of working on the 2010-2011 Village Budget and any other business that may come before the Board.  The workshops will begin at 6 p.m. on the following days:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Champlain will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 5 p.m. at the Village Office, 1104 Route 9, Champlain, New York, to hear from those for or against the use variance application from Martin Bouchard for his property located at 23 Spruce Street, Champlain, New York.  He is proposing changing this from a two apartment building to a four apartment building.  

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

NO PERSON SHALL PARK A MOTOR VEHICLE OR OTHER VEHICLE ON ANY STREET IN THE VILLAGE OF CHAMPLAIN BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2 A.M. AND 6 A.M. FROM NOVEMBER 1ST TO APRIL 1ST.

MEETING RESCHEDULED

The regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Champlain, scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2009, has been cancelled.  It has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at 5 p.m. at the Village Office.

LEGAL NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 5-510 of the Village Law, the Treasurer of the Village of Champlain, Clinton County, New York, announces that the tax roll and warrant for the Village of Champlain has been left with her for collection of taxes therein levied.

The Treasurer has designated 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, from June 1, 2009 to July 1, 2009 inclusive, for the collection of taxes, after which date a 5% penalty will be added for the first month and 1% for each additional month until unpaid taxes are turned over to the County by the Village on November 1, 2009.
